Yet another standard blurred self portrait
Plus, I just registered for another half marathon:
As I mentioned before, the Whidbey Island Marathon and Half is located just north of Seattle in the Puget Sound on April 11, 2010. The race runs along the shores of Whidbey Island as well as through the fields and pastures. The course map does not have elevation, but smaller rolling hills throughout the race. Also noted that the full marathon is a certified Boston Qualifier.
The race fees for the half marathon are $70 if you sign up by March 31st, and go up to $85 if you sign up at the Expo. Details for the full marathon can be found here. Fee includes tech shirt, running chip, goodie bag and of course, a medal.
Woo hoo, I cant wait for another medal (Im starting to realize the medals DO mean something to me, haha)! I also heard about another exciting half marathon in April, but more details to come later.
Happy running! (PS I finally got my body font in the post to work correctly, yahoooo!)
Good for you! Some of my best runs have been the ones I had to drag myself out the door. Runners' World had a good article about motivation awhile back and they said to be careful not to confuse mental exhaustion with physical exhaustion (something I do allll the time!) Thought it was interesting!
ReplyDeleteGreat run! Love the new look of the blog ...
ReplyDeleteGood job on your run! I'm sure you'll do great for your 1/2!
ReplyDeleteWay to go on your run!!!! It is amazing how on the worst days we can get our best runs :-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a beautiful place to run a half!
ReplyDeleteI'm all about the medals! Just wish I knew what to do with them. (Mine are all in a shoe box).
ReplyDeleteNice work on the chilly 6 miler!
Sounds like it will be a scenic marathon!
ReplyDeleteAnd good job on the run.
