Wait, WHAT?

For those of you who don't know me very well, I have something to admit. I absolutely, cannot stand drinking plain water. I HATE IT! You can try to add citrus and ice, but I still know its just plain water. I refuse to drink it. Rarely do I even drink water after running. I would much prefer to put sparkling water in my bottle, but it would probably explode all over me while running....

Because of this, I am typically dehydrated. Don't get me wrong, I love sparkling water (really any brand, but specifically Cascadia or Talking Rain, even Perrier if I feel fancy) and Diet Coke and I live off of coffee, specifically lattes and drip coffee. You will usually find one of the below images on my desk or in my hand:

Mmmmmm.....
Needless to say, when I saw the amount of miles that I was running (and that I want to run more in the upcoming months) I need to change what I drink. I decided to dust the cobwebs off my water bottle and attempt to drink at least 2 bottles full of water per day. I know this doesn't seem like a lot, but that is a HUGE step for me. The past two days you could find this in addition to my coffee on my desk:

Freebie water bottle from the Alki Beach 5k

At least its a start......does anyone actually like water?

Besides that, it is finally the END OF THE FISCAL YEAR! Woo hoo! I have been super busy the past 2 days, which means no running :( 2 days off doesn't seem like a lot, but I am itching to get a run in NOW. I can see the sun's reflection on the walls near my cube, and its just teasing me. Can I go home now?? I can't wait to put in a few miles tonight - I need to keep my mileage up!

  1. Ha! I used to not drink water. I hated it. Then I only drank bottled. Now I'll drink filtered, but only if I can see the filter myself.

As for the running skirts, I love them. They are all I ever wear. Literally, I have 13. Super comfortable and really cute. Plus you never get material bunches between the legs ... Definitely try one!

  4. I used to had the way water tasted. Now, if I don't drink enought I get really dehydrated. PARCHED. Now, I love water. Never was a soda drinker, though.

  5. Crystal Light SAVES ME. I'll have to run over to your cube and toss you a packet to try! Plus, I like it totally watered down, too.

(OH! And I LOVE sparkling water after a run, or Sprite Zero...I thought I was weird...but now I'm not alone! WOOT!)
